What's your cost of unplanned stops in production?

Unplanned stops in production aren't just annoying. Depending on your industry they can be expensive too. Ranging from annoyingly expensive to catastrophically expensive.

Have you thought about the increase in risk for unplanned stops that could be caused by counterfeit spare parts or other counterfeit components sneaking their way into your maintenance operations?

No industry is safe from fakers

If there's anything counterfeiters are famous for, quality isn't it. The very purpose of counterfeiting is cutting corners but charging as close to regular prices as possible.

Another thing counterfeiting is getting infamous for, it's that no industry is safe from it.  Semiconductors, ball bearings, brake pads, airbags have been counterfeited. Whatever else you can imagine, someone else, somewhere, has surely already thought of counterfeiting.

Sudden stops and messed-up maintenance

One risk caused by counterfeit spare parts is of course that they break down all of a sudden, causing unplanned stops, probably when you want them least. Extra costs and annoyed customers, anyone?

Another, less obvious, risk is that they wear down faster than the originals, messing up your carefully created preventive maintenance plan. The original part might last for 5000 hours but the cheap copy might just last 3750 hours. Or 2000, or 2400. Who knows? Your plan is suddenly in shambles, increasing costs and stress, as well as the risk of another annoying sudden stop. Or a disastrous workplace accident.

Product authentication is the cure

The way to stop counterfeits at the gate is to authenticate all parts on arrival. Using isAuthentic it's made ridiculously easy. Just a scan using a smart phone and the isAuthentic app and you'll get a 🛑 or a 🟢. Nothing stopping you from authenticating again as you move things out of spare parts storage to fit use them, of course, if you want to make doubly sure that your spare parts store hasn't been infiltrated.

If your current supplier of spare parts hasn't enabled isAuthentic, you can either look for another or get them to contact us. We'll make them understand how easy and valuable it is for them to do so.

Just give them this link: https://www.bluecromos.com/contact
